From Velva XYL of Bob-K7NVC #1082: Just a note to thank you for remembering Robert on his birthdays. Robert passed away on Jan 29, 2007. The net was a great
thing for him for many years. He enjoyed receiving your cards and thank you for remembering him.
Bud-WD9DMO #527 writes: Thanks for the birthday card. Still working as a janitor at nearby Northern Illinois U. Could retire now, but want to hang on a little
while longer. I work 4-midnight M-F, but am dusting off the rig, which is a TS-130S, with hopes of getting back on the air soon. Thanks again.
From Gene-WB3AWH #560: Mike, it's always a pleasure to receive this birthday card from the 'Cousins'! The Cousins are about the only link I still have with
Amateur Radio. Still exchange emails with K3HJH in Butler, Pa. routinely, and he keeps me informed on the health and welfare of those that still remain on the green side of the grass. My old TS520
sits in the closet, tuner and mic at the ready, but as condo living is not condusive to long wires, or 'coke bottle' verticals in the front stips of grass, I'm out of business. Thanks again, and
since my next birthday will make me 40 for the second time, I hope to be here to hear from the Cousin's again! 73, to you and all the Cousins.
Woody-KU9F #737 writes: Just a line to thank you and the Cousins for the birthday greetings. I don't do amateur radio anymore. Last month the wind got into my antenna
and put me completely out of business. My best to all of the Cousins.
From Archie-WA6IGX #998: Thanks for the birthday card. #80. Wife and I celebrated our 57th anniversary on Sept. 14th. Went back to Colorado a couple of weeks ago for my
wife's sister's 50th. We haven't traveled in our motorhome since we moved, but hope to get down to the SW (Palm Springs & AZ area) this winter.
Sorry I haven't checked in to the net for quite awhile.
We moved in March from our home of 33 years in Nevada City, CA to Rocklin, CA. We are closer to our Children & brothers & sisters.
Don't have an antenna up yet, but hope to soon. I miss checking in to
the Cousins' nets. Hope things are going well for you and all the Midwest Cousins.
Ken-WB7FBL #772 writes: Thanks again for the birthday card. It's nice to know that I'm still remembered. Thought I would help out the MWCC with a little contribution
for the postage, etc.
From Audrey, XYL of Dick-K9ZNZ #112: Richard will be spending his 1st birthday in Heaven. He passed away 8/4/08, but thank you for remembering.
Jim-W7ZHQ #1276 writes: I'm among the growing group of cousins that really enjoy the birthday card every year. It reminds me that it's my birthday
again! Thanks a lot cousins.
From Cathy, daughter of Don-K3BUH #494: Dad was pleased to get his birthday card in March. Unfortunately he passed away on June 2, 2009 after a fight with cancer. He
often wished he could have been able to sign in to the MWCC's but his equipment was on a different level of his house. Thanks for his friendship over the years.
Frank-W9NVF #204 writes: Thanks for the birthday card. Sure is nice to be remembered. Hope a few bucks helps a little. Living in a retirement facility at age 85 and only
have a 10 watt qrp for the low bands. Not too much to work with at this time. Best wishes to all the Cousins. 73's, Frank.
From Cathy, XYL of Wilson-W2HTK #162: Please be aware that W2HTK is now a silent key. Even though in recent years he was unable to be on the air, he always looked forward
to your greeting on his birthday. Thank you so much for remembering him over the years.
Herb-KBØLCE #1050 writes: Thanks for the birthday card. When I moved to the hills of Imperial, my AU5 vertical just wouldn't work 80m. Then in Feb 2004 my wife had a stroke.
I'm her care giver. I'm going to add more radials in an effort to increase the ability of the AU5 to do better. Thanks again for the birthday cards. Each one brightens my day.
